Fostered in Glendale, CA. Almost 2 years old, male, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations. Experienced dog owners only. Eskie experience is a must!
Alex is an interesting blend of Eskie and Corgi. He is white with light tan highlights on his back. Alex is a low-rider, due to the Corgi genetics, but has a cute Eskie face and a thick tail. He is a wonderful dog who, at a young age, ended up in a kill shelter in early 2018. Alex gets along with other dogs, and is just learning to play with them. He is not destructive and stays off the furniture. With the help of his foster mom, he is slowly coming out of his shell. Alex is affectionate and sweet with his human, but does take a long time to trust, so he needs an experienced human adopter. More about Alex of CAGood with Dogs Special Needs: Special Needs: I am very loyal and loving to my human. I can be nervous in new situations or with new people, so slow introductions are best. I don’t currently live with young children, but that’s probably a good thing because sudden and unpredictable behavior can be scary for me. I enjoy having my safe, quiet place and I will tell you when I want to go there. In my current foster home, my safe place is the bathroom, where my foster mommy has a blanket and a water bowl just for me. I also like my crate. I enjoy being out in the backyard and I will ask to go outside. I love treats, so my foster mommy thinks I can learn anything my adoptive human wants to teach me. He is showing some initial reactiveness when a strange man just shows up without being properly introduced, seems to like women best. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Videos of Alex of CA:
