6/17/18 - Pending, Foster to Adopt, Stephani McClaine Meet Meesha of Palm Bay, FL Meesha is a young female Eskie mix, estimated to be about 3 years old and she weighs 20 pounds. We're not sure what other breed she is a mix with, but she has the most arresting eyes.....one eye is blue rimmed in brown and the other eye is brown rimmed in blue. Meeshe is VERY sweet and affectionate and wants to cuddle 24/7. For a young Eskie, she is not super high energy - which makes her a nice fit for an older or less active owner. She'd very much like to live with a retired person or someone who works from home, so she can have companionship during the day. She's good with other dogs, but perhaps not initially, and you will need to introduce her slowly and with supervision. She'd be just as happy being an only dog and if you're looking for a playmate for another dog she's probably not the best choice. We don't know how she is with older kids, but given that she is so sweet and loving, we think she would like them.....provided they would cuddle and pet her. Meesha is deaf, though it seems she can hear some pitches and responds to clapping. Her foster is training her with hand signals which we find deaf dogs respond very well to, along with a consistant routine. Since she can not hear, Meesha must ALWAYS be kept on a leash or in the safety of a securely fenced yard. If you are willing to work with and train Meesha, are home most of the time, and willing to dispense cuddles and love 24/7, then Meesha is the girl for you.
