Hi, I’m Mac!

I am a miniature eskie boy and I am looking to be your new best friend. I was turned in to ERU because my former family had a baby and thought they couldn’t handle both a baby AND a dog. Amazing, they think they are equipped to care for a human life but not to care for me. Hmmm. I don’t really understand, because I am really no trouble at all. I love people, kids, and other dogs. We’re not sure about cats, but my foster mommy thinks I’d not have a problem with them either, because I am so easy going. Do not mistake “easy going” for “couch potato”…I am, after all, still kinda a puppy. I love zooming in the yard, and playing ball. I’ll chase a ball till the cows come home.

I was an only dog at my old home, and now that I am living with other dogs, I am realizing how much fun it is to have built in playmates. I’d really love for my new home to have another dog of a similar age/activity level for me to spend my days playing with. Or perhaps my new family would consider adopting me AND a playmate! I would also really like my new home to have a fenced in yard, since I so enjoy doing zoomies!!!

I am housebroken, fully vetted, and I am past the “puppy-destrusto” phase. I don’t even need a crate anymore because I am fully trustworthy. I know my basic manners and I do well on a leash and in the car. I am good for grooming, and even ok with you brushing my teeth.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
