Tito is a very handsome, 11 year old, 17 lb, eskie. He was surrendered to ERU as his family was unable to keep him.  Tito has been fully vetted and had complete bloodwork done.  Unfortunately, the poor little guy has only 5 teeth remaining, but he loves them :-)

Tito gets along well with his foster brother/sister eskies.  He LOVES his walks and is fairly well behaved in the house.  Tito likes people and is an angel about 95% of the time.  He's usually a sweet, easy going boy, but he can occasionally have an "eskie stubborn streak".  If he's in a quiet corner and doesn't want to be disturbed or if you attempt to make him do something he doesn't want to, he will likely snap at you.  Mostly, its to let you know he's not having it.  He needs a home that will work positively with him and accept him for who he is, the good, the bad and the ugly :-)  At this age, he's not likely to change much, but positive interactions will go a long way.

Originally, I thought he had selective hearing (he can hear treats coming), but apparently, he actually does have some hearing loss.  Additionally, Tito just had a very small growth removed from his eyelid (you can't even tell), the lab results determined it was a slow growing cancer.   The cancerous growth was completely removed and is not expected to return.

Tito is an adorable, little senior, with a touch of eskie attitude.  You can't help but love him.  He's looking for his ideal home which will be a settled, eskie experienced, home without children.   If you'd like more information about Tito Burrito, feel free to e-mail:  kkstewart2002@yahoo.com.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
