Hi!!! I'm Oscar!!! i'm a 10 week old puppy, and boy, am i ALL puppy!!!! i'm super friendly, i love everyone i've met so far, even kids and other dogs! i am SO Grateful to have been rescued by ERU! see, i had kind of a rotten start in life. i was rescued with my brother Felix from a puppy mill in Lancaster, PA. we've no idea why we weren't wanted, but my foster mom thinks we may have been too "old" to sell. imagine that! too old, at 10 weeks!!!

when we were rescued, we were coated head to tail in cow manure. see, that's where we had been living and playing on the "farm". We STUNK!!! it took 3 scrubbings to restore our not smelly, white and soft fur. we were very good for our long baths and waited patiently for our foster mommy to clean us up. once she did, we came out of our shell!!! there's a picture down below of just how messy i was whenmommy got me. thank god for warm baths and fluffy towels!!!

i am the larger of the two of us, and more outgoing. i'm way more vocal than my brother Felix, but i love him dearly and we follow each other everywhere. right now we are even crated together, it's the only way either of us will sleep calmly. we really like our new fenced in yard, it so much more fun to play in than a pile of manure!!!

we've been to the vet for our first round of shots, and we were so good for Dr lee! he says we're perfectly healthy happy puppies! amazing considering our start in life! we still need to have something "fixed", mommy says. i dont know whats broken, but oh well!  we'll be ready to go to our new home after the 4th of july weekend. mommy would really like to see us adopted together, so if you've got it in your heart to open your home to the both of us, that would be really great!

keep in mind, if you apply to adopt us, we are BABIES. we are NOT potty trained, though mommy is working on it with us. we will need manners, housebreaking, leash training, and firm but gentle guidance so we can grow up into wonderful eskie ambassadors. we will probably be large mini's or small standards, as our parents were both in the 25-30# range. mommy says it's not too bad housetraining both of us at once, since we seem to learn from each other. and we LOVE to play, and have endless enrgy, so that's another reason we'd like to stay together.

we are currently located in the Philadelphia, PA area. ERU does not transport puppies of our age, so in order to adopt us you'd have to be willing to come and get us in Philly. you'd also have to agree to attend obedience classes with us as part of the adoption contract.

Please note: My adoption fee is $350 plus a spay/neuter deposit of 250.00. You get the 250.00 deposit back once you provide proof of getting me fixed! Please don't put in an application for me/us unless you are really prepared for a puppy. That means chewing, housebreaking, lots of obedience training, and probably lots more chewing too! You must agree to take me to obedience class within 4 month of adoption,  with proof of completion of class we will send you a 25.00 rebate.

Special Needs: Oscar is 150% puppy and all that entails!!!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
