Hello! I'm Jango!

I was rescued by ERU from a local shelter. I don't know what happened, but I guess the landlord changed the rules :( No dogs allowed! Fortunately the shelter called ERU to come save me, and boy am I glad they did!

A nice lady showed up to see me today. At first I was afraid, I was petrified! How could I go on without my owner by my side? Little did I know that this new lady was a friend and was going to give me a new lease on life. It took me a few minutes to see that I could trust her, but her soothing talk made me feel so at ease that I let her cup my head in her hands. She knew right away that I . . . I would survive!!

I'm a beautiful, long haired eskie and I am young, already neutered, and learning to be really comfortable with lother dogs and people.  I'm very cautious around new people, but I do bond with people once I get to know them.  Oh, and I LOVE to have my back scratched!! The best thing I can think of is curling up right with you and giving you kisses while you scratch my belly and back.  Doesn't that sound so great??!!? I really hope that happens soon as I miss having my own family.  

I get along well with other dogs.  I ride in the car like a champ and I am housebroken - what more could you possibly be looking for??  Oh, and one last thing, wait until you see my big, beautiful brown eyes in person...you won't believe it!!

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
