Jay is a very sweet and loving boy.  He loves to be close, and snuggle.  He gives those famous Eskie kisses too.  Jay came from a loving home with children ranging in age from 1-5, and was absolutely great with them.  He is an extremely tolerant pup.  Saddly his family was forced to move into a home where they could not have pets.  He's a very outgoing and happy boy, and easily accepts affection from strangers.  He loves attention and typical Eskie likes to be in the middle of whatever is going on in the family.  Jay gets along great with other dogs, and cats.  Jay is young, so he is full of energy and enthusiasim but is not excessively so for his age.  Jay's totally trusting and outgoing nature is unusual for an Eskie.   This little boy is just totally wonderful and will bring so much love to the family fortunate enough to adopt him.  He is bright and eager to learn, so he will be easy to train.  Jay really loves to please, so he will respond well to positive based training.  He has adapted amazingly well to the recent transitions that have unfortunately occurred in his life by just taking them in stride and enjoying the attention and affection of his foster family.  Dogs this adaptable and flexible are really a unique treasure.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
