Hi, my name is Sarek and I’m an Eskie/Sammy Mix. This is how I DO IT…I love to play with toys and my fellow Eskie brother and sister. Since I was a stray, my past is a secret! I was the social butterfly at the shelter. My charm won over the entire shelter personnel. I was the only dog allowed to hang in the front office roaming free to greet all the visitors because of my friendly, gentle nature. I didn’t have to be crated as long as someone was there. The shelter was running out of room so they contacted Eskie Rescuers United and I was transported to my foster mommy’s house here near Akron Ohio. My foster mommy was surprised at my size when she saw me! I’m bigger than a Standard Eskie (I’m about 24 inches tall at the shoulders)! But I won her and all her neighbors right away with my friendly, happy and gentle manner. I love being with people. I eat up affection and will bask in it every chance I get. I like to hug my foster mommy…I just push my head into her lap if she’s sitting or I’ll do whatever I can to be as close as I can get. I’m still a puppy, but not overly energetic. I like to fetch toys and love being chased by my foster siblings. I’m not destructive and although I am crate trained, I don’t have to be crated. My foster mommy says I’m a good boy because I respond well when she works with me and she thinks that I’d be the perfect candidate for training. My visit to the vet was pretty cool! (I tried to lay on the vet to hug her back when she gave me some attention and she laughed ‘cause most of her patients try to get away!) They checked me all out and found that I am heartworm negative and I received all my shots! I am on preventatives so I’ll stay healthy and pest free! YO! I was so pleasant that the vet told my foster mommy that I’ll be grabbed right up once my web page goes up. Are you my forever companion who I can hug and be with? My foster mommy thinks I’ll probably do fine with children around 8 yrs old and up, but she doesn’t have young ones to know for certain. I am always a gentleman when traveling in the car. I sit up proper and look out the window. I’m happy, young, energetic, trainable, sensitive, and can be all that you want to train me to be!
