I have had my two American Eskimos for over 13 years. They are the best of dogs this size, +/- 20 lbs. with the personality of a medium sized dog but the cuteness and sweetness of a smaller animal. They have been with me through thick and thin, and I love them dearly. It is with great passion that I introduce them to you as we endeavor to find them a good home to enjoy their senior years. This pair of white circus dogs is as charming as they are different from one another. Dolce, the elder, is a warm, bright, instant friend, with a warm and engaging attitude and high energy greeting (until of course, she curls up in a corner 15 minutes later to rest!) She is very personable and loves people. Her coat is usually very thick however, she s given her tail a poodle treatment, which we ll call a fashion choice . Moika, the younger by two months, is skinnier with a finer coat, and a bit more shy--warming up to the nice person who knows not to pursue her. She is a dedicated companion and a bit protective, bur off-leash in the dog park she becomes one of the gang. She is deeply attached to her owners, and very warm and attentive to their needs. Her eyesight is a little cataracted in one eye, but she seems to not let it phase her! Everyone who meets these two dogs instantly admires
their beauty and spirit, and after the greeting time becomes old-friends time, they enjoy their quiet companionship as well. Both dogs have spent their whole lives in a house with working parents, so they are used to being alone together during the work day, but are excited to greet you when you return! An especial bonus would be a new home where their parents have more time at home to enjoy their good company. So why the search for a new home? Transplanted from Denver to the DC/Baltimore area, I have found myself confronted with an avalanche of increasingly serious medical difficulties, most notably Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and growingly severe allergies. My house is like an anti-allergy fortress, but the reality of attending to my two dogs, who are amazing but making it increasingly difficult for me to breathe, is really encroaching at a rapid rate. My doctor has suggested that finding new parents who can spend more time interacting with them (and breathing!) would be a wise decision at this juncture, having tried an array of medicines and treatments with little ease in symptoms. I'd never give up my dogs to a shelter, as they are my life's companions. Finding them a good home is something I take as seriously as finding a home for a relative or parent. Their happy rehoming will make a major positive impact on my ability to handle being out of bed and working/breathing day to day. My dogs deserve all the love and care and adoration I can give--and if I can't give it, I want the opportunity to find a place where they can charm their way through their senior years in peace and grace.
