Description:

Meet CHESKIE of Minneapolis MN

Cheskie spent 83 days in the shelter, sitting in a loud kennel environment.  She understandably left the shelter stressed and wary.
She is now in a foster home and taking the time to detox from it all.  The only downside is that the foster has multiple dogs and Cheskie really needs a quiet home with one or two people, to allow her to completely forget the impound experience.

What we have learned so far:

She loves car rides, she will sit in the car all day if allowed.
She is house trained
She is kennel trained
Has a high prey drive so we don't want any cats, small dogs or other small animals in her home
She has very clear signs when she is uncomfortable.  Give her her space when she tells you and she will want your lap after.

Here is what she needs:
1.  An Eskie experienced owner.
2.  No other small dogs, cats, animals.  Possibly another dog her size or larger would be acceptable, but an in-person meet and greet would be necessary.
3.  No small children.
4.  A strong single person or adult couple, who can provide and ensure calm, consistent leadership.
5.  A fenced yard is nice but not mandatory.  Walking a dog every day is good for the routine and discipline (on a very secure short leash and not a retractable leash).  Save the fenced yard as a play reward.

She is a true gem! Who will help make her shine?
