Say "Hello Halo!"  Yep, that's my name...Halo.  I am 9 years old but you would never know it by looking at me.  My foster mom even thinks I'm much younger.

My owner, who I loved very much, passed away suddenly, and left me and my female furry-friend (Angel) to fend for ourselves then we were put into a shelter.  I was very stressed and the people at the shelter thought I was mean but it was only because I was so scared and confused.  Plus I had to protect my female friend, too.  Well, the nice people at ERU knew that dogs like us don't do well in shelters so they rescued my friend Angel (now Kira) and she is in another foster home.  I had to stay a while to see if my personality calmed down after she left.  Soon, my new foster mom came with her 5-yr old daughter to the shelter to see if I was really mean and all I could do was bounce around and give the little girl kisses.  I was SO HAPPY!!

When I got to my new foster home, I saw that I had 2 brothers but they didn't bark...they meowed!  I really like them and they like me because we all sleep together.  I love to go on walks and my foster mom says I do really good.

I love to cuddle and my foster mom says I'm very handsome and very soft.  But because I used to live with a single woman, I am very cautious of men and probably wouldn't do real well with a man in the house.  I don't play with toys but I would like another companion to play with.  The cats are no fun.  I'm used to playing with my old friend so another furbutt like me would be great!

I am looking for a furever home that I will be in the rest of my life.  I promise to protect you and love you if you would just give me the chance I deserve.

Eskie Kisses and Wuff...
Halo

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
