OH MY GOSH! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS LITTLE ONE! THIS IS THE TINIEST AMERICAN ESKIMO I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HELD! HE IS LIKE A LITTLE BABY DOLL AND HAS THE MOST AMAZING DISPOSITION!!! This little boy is so cute and gentle. He was picked up at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter on 2-22-10 in the evening, and he came right into my arms and cuddled with me. He doesn't bark much, and he's very calm. He got along immediately with my other American Eskimo dog and my other 65 pound male rescue Lab. They became friends instantly. He is such an amazing boy. Very tiny for an Eskie. I thought my Eskie was small at 22 lbs., but this one is full of a beautiful coat of fur which is deceiving. My little Gizmo only weighs in at 12.5 pounds! He won't last long - cute as a button and the BEST personality. My little boy doesn't speak English or Spanish. I am "guessing" that he lived in a home where the language was something other than English or Spanish. He does not know the word "sit" in either English or Spanish; however, he's too cute and sweet to not know how to do this. I am surmising that some other language was spoken in his home. So - he will need re-training. He is house trained. So far, no accidents in my home. He loves the snow and loves to play outside in the cold weather. GREAT GREAT GREAT disposition!!! The pictures do not do him justice, because in person, he is soooo small! He's the complete package! In one of the videos, you will see Gizmo's first day at my home spa. I combed him with my furminator - you will see the amount of hair that I got out of him. This is not normal. Poor little guy has probably never been groomed properly by his former owner. If you brush these dogs for 5 minutes, 3 times a week, and then use a ferminator comb on them once a week for about 10 minutes, you will not have shedding in your home. It's all about TAKING CARE OF YOUR PET!
