Hey there are you ready to add an energetic, resourceful, young Eskie to your family? Then baby I am the one for you. My name is Elliot or Eli for short and I was found hiding under a porch by a nice young girl. She could not keep me so I was taken to the local animal shelter. I was noticed on petfinder and my foster mom rescued me.

I have an older Eskie and lab/shar-pei mix to play with and they are a blast and help with all the energy I have to expend! She has a cat that I chase and he just doesn’t seem to like the game. I love to play fetch, learning new tricks and giving Eskie kisses. I am a quick learner and already know “sit, stay, kennel and down”.

I got a clean bill of health from the vet who said I was a wonderful boy. Of course I already knew that! I have been neutered and am up-to-date on all my shots.

I need some training on how to walk on a leash. I want to walk you instead of you walking me! I also continue with my house training because I tend to still mark.

I will be your dedicated family member and would love to have a family that would continue to teach me new tricks and have me be an integral part of an active life. I do like to bark to express my enthusiasm and am working with my foster mom on curbing that.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
