Hi my name is Cody and I am about 7 years old. I was picked up as a stray and the shelter contacted Eskie Rescuers United and a wonderful foster mom rescued me.

I want love very much but am having a difficult time believing it is real this time. My foster mom is very patient with me and even when I am upset and barking at her she talks to me, pets me and helps me calm down. I try to let her know I am trying to trust by putting my head under her hand for more petting.

I have really bad teeth that hurt and make my mouth smell. After my teeth cleaning and neutering I know I will feel so much better. Since my foster mom is so patient I think I may have a chance to show my really good side.

I do well around other dogs. My foster mom has two little girls furkids and I mean little around 4 lbs each. They have really big personalities and “rule the roost” so to speak. One tried to get me to play but I was not sure what to do. So I just wagged my tail at her.

I came to my foster mom’s with another Eskie she named Dakota who also came from the same shelter. You can read about him on his own page. I get a bit jealous of him I just don’t like sharing my new foster mom.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
