Ok now that I have an updated picture with some of my hair grown back in I thought I should update the rest of this info.

My rescue angel was no longer able to care for me so the people at ERU and some really fantastic volunteers in the state of SC and MD got me transported north. Everyone fell in love with me and why shouldn't they? I am sweet. I am in a temp foster home and have finally limbered up after my transport. I love to cruise their fenced yard and I do not whine or complain. I just love life and being alive and not stuck on the street fending for myself. Especially when I cannot hear things.

Just a reminder my angel had my teeth cleaned and I love to chew on the mini rawhides.

She also had me completely checked out with blood work, x-rays and I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations and heartworm negative.

I seem to keep being taken care of by such wonderful people and they all fall in love. I just would like to find that permanent home and really feel settled in for the rest of my life!

I need a very special family that has lots of patience with me because I am completely DEAF.

It is only one of the five senses that I have and I still have a passion for enjoying life so let me enrich yours.

My name? Well it is Julie. Do you have patience to help me learn my name and other hand signals so I can be a part of your very special family?

Please contact Roxanne at jdr@frontiernet.net if you would like to adopt me.

More about Julie

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Special Needs: DEAF Needs help with house-training. The human right now is trained as to when to let her out.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
