UPDATE: Ozzie had his neuter surgery and between that and his getting used to his foster digs, he has mellowed quite a bit. We think that he would do well with older children who know how to play politely with a young dog. === Ozzie is a rockstar-- beautiful, lean, a little on the wild side but eager for fans and love! He's not overly talkative, but will bark when he feels everyone needs to be alerted to something. Because he's just a little over a year old, he loves being entertained: by other dogs, by balls or ropes, or just by jumping high in the air and flopping on his back. He's very smart, and will need an organized dog obedience class to get him socialized and focused on doing the right thing. He gets very excited with toys, so he may not do well with children under 8. He's currently in foster in Sedro Wooley recovering from his neuter surgery but will be available in mid-August.
Ozzie was taken to a shelter in Northern California when his previous owners moved and decided not to take him along. He went from the shelter to San Francisco, then was flown up here to Washington to start a new life. Why not treat this guy to the celebrity life he deserves?

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
