Hi there!  I am Max of FL and I am about 1 1/2 years old.  I am at a great age - still plenty of puppy play left in me but not too many of those not so nice puppy habits.  I was very happy to be saved from a kill shelter after my previous owners left me there to move out of state.  And here I thought they let dogs into every state.  My foster mommy tells me I am such a good boy over and over again and that makes me so happy that my whole tush wiggles.  I like to play with just about anybody or anything and am pretty good about figuring out when somebody doesn't want to play back (like those silly cats!).  I am very nice to them though and only ask a couple of times if they want to play.  I like most other dogs of all sizes, I like most people of all sizes and I even like cats.  I greet strangers very happily and submissively and I'm not much of a barker.  I am crate trained and house trained as long as I am not free to roam when no one is home.  Also, my cues about having to potty are very subtle so please don't be mad if I have a few accidents while we are learning each others' routine.  I am just an all around happy boy who loves to snuggle or play and I only want to be loved back forever.

If you're interested in me please e-mail my foster mommy Dawn at dawn.e.stout@lmco.com

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
