Hi!
My name is Frankie! I was a stray and picked up by Animal Control in Franklin, IN. That is how I got my name! Before I was in the shelter, someone gave me a REALLY BAD HAIRCUT. My new foster mom says it should grow in really full and beautiful, but right now it kinda hurts her eyes! The shelter said I was mean and they weren't going to adopt me out and put me to sleep. Thank goodness for my guardian angels at Eskie Rescuers United and some helpers who rescued me!
Foster mom notes: Frankie is really a sweetie! He is so good, fully house broken, and loves long walks in the country. He already knows how to sit on command and is really smart! Right now he is sleeping at my feet under the computer desk. Sometimes he crawls in my lap when I am watching TV and is happy to get belly rubs. Not a mean bone in his body!
My other foster is an alpha female and totally bosses him around, and he takes it! He is very good with cats and is only a little curious about them, just a sniff and his curiousity is satisfied. He has not been around small children so I don'know how he would be with them. He was so good at the vet's and I think he would get along with anyone.
He is full of spirit and needs a fenced in yard to run around. He loves to roll in the grass!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
