Allie quite the young lady at 2 to 3 years old and a petite 18 lbs. She gets along fine with other dogs but has not been tested with cats or small children.

She's very affectionate and sleeps through the night in her crate. Do you have room in your heart for Allie?

Allie was picked up as a stray by animal control. Someone had called and reported that she was lying in their yard and wouldn't leave. She was fearful and snappy with the officers when they picked her up but quickly warmed up to Kathy at the shelter who liked eskies. Kathy made sure that Allie got to rescue.

Allie's gait seemed strange and she seemed to have trouble with her rear end so we had her x-rayed. Turns out, she had a broken pelvis and a part of the ball of her femur broken. NO WONDER SHE HAD BEEN LYING IN THE YARD AND NOT LEAVING! No wonder she had snapped at officers. She had probably been hit by a car! Her pelvis seems to have healed and Allie is walking and able to run up and down stairs. If she had an Angel to adopt her, a surgery called an FHO to remove the head of the femur could be done that might help her avoid arthritis in that hip in the future. Right now, she is getting medication and is getting around quite well.
