Hi, hi, hi. My name is Wiley! I am a YOUNG, playful little guy who was rescued from a hoarder. I was badly neglected and was real scared of people but with the help of my wonderful foster mom, I have come out of my shell and I'm learning how wonderful life can be.

Almost everything I experience now is new to me...almost like a newborn pup! And when I was given toys....WOW!! I love my toys! And just like a young pup, I'll look to you for assurance and recognition that I'm a good boy, after all, I'm still a little shaky with my new life.

My foster mom reports that I'm house-trained...whatever that means. I don't know how to ask to go out; she just opens the door, and that's where I do my business. When I do my thing outside, my foster mom says, "good boy, go potty" and somehow I know that's a good thing. But, gee, I'm pretty smart so I'm learning this new life pretty fast.

I didn't even know what a leash was and it terrified me when I saw one. But now I feel safe and confident that it won't hurt me so I prance with my head and tail held high just like a prize show dog. I think I'd be good in a house with older, dog-savvy kids (no young children, please) and I don't mind other dogs just so I can be the boss. I've lived with a couple of cats and I'm curious about them. Do they like to play? When I go up to them and bark though my foster mom just yells, "no" and I stop.
Gee...what's their purpose??

To sum it up....I need a home where I'll feel safe and secure and to feel that I'll be okay. With a little time and patience you will gain my trust and I will jump and twirl with joy when I see you!!

I am being fostered in Michigan. Please contact my foster mom, Lara at Laramahr@yahoo.com or go to our website, www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me, me, me!

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
