I had a family and thought things were okay. They kept me outside (but I could go in the garage anytime if I wanted) and there were four children to play with. Then one day they left me at this strange place with a lot of other dogs and strange people. I didn't understand this and just wanted to go home and didn't trust any of these strange people--and I let them know it by barking at them. This was a shelter, and they called ERU to see if they could find me a home. ERU was told that I was aggressive and that my family said I would bite children. That's just not me. I'm just very active and love to play. Sometimes I might tug on your hand when playing or trying to get you to play--but I'm learning that although that might work when playing with dogs it's not a good thing to do with people. I'm very smart and will learn this and other things. I already know how to sit on command and I'm learning the rules for being inside a house instead of a garage. Im housebroke and dont chew things, the toys are too much fun. And there are so many toys here! My favorites are the little squeak balls, but some of the other ones are nice and work better for tug-of-war--like the pumpkin in the picture. Although I get along with dogs it would be best if I went to a home by myself ,I tend to pick constantly at others, annoying them. Little kids may not be a good idea either, I do have a habit of grabing hands, while playing, I dont bite but do grab at hands for toys. I'm energetic and want to be involved in everything. I'll follow you all over the house and yard and want attention, preferably to be petted or get my belly rubbed or just play with me. I would love to sit on your lap cause you see Im a lil lovebug. Thanks for thinking about me. Update 2-11 He is a very loving dog that loves to play. In fact that is what his whole world evolves around, play and getting loved and petted. He learns quick,as soon as he knows what you want. He has a very high activity level and is most constantly busy. He also has a bad habit of chasing feet on occasion. He is a very nice puppy like boy. He is friendly with strangers. the only bad thing about king is when you do things like putting a harness on ,he thinks its play and flips on back, wrestles and chews on your hands. He does not bite. This can go better when bribed with treats, he has done better in last few months. He has been in rescue awhile and would like a person of his own.
