Hi -- I'm Ranger! I'm about 5 years old, and looking for my forever home. Right now I'm staying with a family in Orange County. I like going to the beach and playing with my Cocker Spaniel sister at home. Sometimes I steal her toys and hide them under the couch, but she's too fat to get them back and then they're all mine. ha ha ha

Sometimes I get nervous around new people. That's because I was tied-up and got hurt at my last house. As soon as I get to know them, I like everyone I meet from the neighborhood though! I was pretty skinny when I moved to Orange County, but I weigh about 12# now and that's my ideal weight. I know when it's time to stop eating, and I always tell my dads when I have to go to the bathroom outside.

A long time ago I broke my leg. Sometimes I limp a little bit, so my foster dads took me to a bunch of different doctors. It turns out my leg is totally healed and if it hurts, there's a pill I can take so it feels much better! I like short walks and playing inside mostly. I love car rides, but I don't really like to go to the Dog Park because the big dogs scare me; usually I'd rather stay at home and curl-up on the couch. Belly rubs are good, too. I do just fine with other dogs at home, but I'm OK if you leave me alone with my favorite toys sometimes too.

Please send an eMail to ERU if you know anyone who might like to share their home with me!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
