Miesha is a 4 year old Eskie. He was rescued from a farm in New Jersey where Eskies were being illegally bred. Because he was the smallest of the litter, no one wanted to buy him. He is a very loving dog. He likes to be around his owners, to play, walk and run. He loves to give kisses, and he will cuddle right up next to you whenever you sit or lay down. He was rescued at a late age (after he was 1 year old.) Very protective of his territory and his owners. Barks at new people entering the house, then settles down. He does not have any problems with children living in the home, however he could be easily scared by children’s friends who are ‘strange’ to him at first. Seems to get more active with higher levels of activity in the house. Loves long walks, running squirrls up a tree. Last owner had very small children and reports When scared, he has in the past nipped at strangers in the home if not closely watched.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
