Hi, my name is Mal. I am a 5 yr. old male eskie. I am currently in a foster home, but hoping for a forever home soon. If you choose me here is what I can offer. I am a mellow boy, much more quiet than your average eskie. I have outgrown the puppy craziness. I am very loyal and will watch you with my big brown eyes. I like to sleep by your feet. I don’t get on the furniture, and at night I like having a dog bed on the floor next to your bed. I really like playing with toys too. I am not a retriever so the game is you chase me when I have the toys. I am good with other dogs and cats. I do like to check out cats a lot, but that is because they seem strange to me. I am totally housetrained and am an inside dog.

In true eskie style,I am a little leary of strangers. I warm up quickly and love to have my belly rubbed once I am familiar with someone. My foster mom calls me one of the best dogs she has ever seen. Again I will reiterate every other eskie she has ever known has been very vocal, I am not. She says I am better behaved than her dogs. Pick me; pick me, to be your forever friend, before I pickup on the bad habits of the other dogs who live here. I will be very loyal to you. I like to go for rides in the car, and travel well. Funny thing the doorbell on the tv goes off and it sounds to me like someone is at the front door so I think there is someone here. This creates some laughs in the house and foster mom shows me that no one is at the front door. I don't not do any male dog marking in the house at all.  In the typical eskie fashion, I am leary of new people so the nice resuce people say I'd be best in a home with no children.

I hope to find my new family soon…I am really excited to find my new family!  If you are interested in me, the first step is to fill out the adoption application to get the process started.  Please let me hear from you soon!

 Love, Mal

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
