Hey there, I’m Nick. I’m about 6 ½ years old and am an Eskie mix - possibly Australian Shepherd. My mama had to go into an assisted living facility so I had to come back into rescue.
I am pretty easy-going and get along with everyone, though I will bark at strangers coming into my home. I also get along with dogs - I have a foster-sister who I play with all the time – but I was a bit overwhelmed at the dog park. I enjoyed the human company over the canine company so I would be fine as a solitary dog. Right now I have a foster daddy that stays home with me all day, just as my mama did, but I am a good boy when left for long periods of time, so I’d be okay with a nice laid-back couple who work. I love my toys and will entertain myself and my foster parents for quite a while. I also love me some rawhide! I enjoy sitting with my foster parents on the couch while they watch TV and pet me and I’ll split my nights on the bed and under the computer table. I will lay my head on the pillow and sleep under the covers like a human if you let me, even though I have my own bed. I come with that bed and a basket full of toys. I am up-to-date on all shots and am neutered. I am also housebroken. If you think I could be the next addition to your family, please contact my foster mama, Audra (lieskie@aol.com). We are located in Raleigh, NC but can usually help arrange for transport almost anywhere along the East coast or within a few hours drive from here.
