Hi, my name is Gabe and I am in search of my forever home.  I’m a small Eskie and just the cutest thing!  Actually I’m a small dog with a big presence.  I like to show that I’m not just a little guy who can be pushed around.  J  As you can see from my pictures, I have the long Eskie hair…people tell me I’m such a beautiful boy!

I’m still a young boy so I would love to go to some training classes with my new people.  It’s really important for me to be well socialized as I have that Eskie trait of being nervous around new people.  Once I know you, I’m just a big love bug!  But I do need that warm up time to get comfortable with you.  The nice rescue people said that since I’m so young, I should catch on pretty quickly to the socialization thing and then I’ll be better around strangers.  I have been around kids before and done okay, but my new rescue friends don’t think it’s a good idea for me to be around young kids, as I will nip at people if I don’t know them well and they scare me.  And sometimes kids don’t see me getting scared.  I’m a good boy…I’m just a little nervous!

I am completely housetrained so you can feel comfortable with me in the house.  Oh – I love my crate!  That’s my safe place and I am used to sleeping there at night.  Well, if you want me to sleep in your bed, I’m sure I can get used to that too!  J  I love to have my belly rubbed!  You will be so happy to have me at your home as part of your family.  I’ll be your very best friend!  I do get along well with other dogs but haven’t been around those funny things called cats.  When I go for car rides, I like to be in my crate…it make me feel safer.  But I do well in the car, so you can take me out with you when you leave.

I really hope I can find my new home soon!  If you are looking for a new companion, I hope you will consider me!  If you are interested in me, the first step is to fill out the adoption application to get the process started.  I hope I hear from you soon!

Hey guess what I am great with cats, I don't care about them. They are of no interest to me.

Hey guess what else, I can ride in the car with no crate.

 Love, Gabe

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
