Xena is finding life can be so much fun. Playing with new found things like toys. They scared her a bit at first but discovered they are so much fun, dragging them outside to play. She is an active girl and has a tendancy to chew. She and her brother Reno were strays together and are not used to normal things. She is quite skittish of new noises and things that scare her. She is very friendly and warms up in little time. She loves attention and loves to play with toys and Reno. She uses a dog door and is keeping her area clean with no accidents. She craves attention, acting like she never had any.She would be easy to train as you have her complete attention. After a day, she comes to you for pets, before she backed off a few feet in fear, but loves being petted. She acts like she was abused some. She is a very nice dog that would be good, loyal, and totally devoted and loving from the start. She not good with cats or small animals, from the reaction I seen, on other side of fence. She has a short coat and no double coat, may be mix. She is so very sweet and pretty and has been waiting for her home. She shows no aggression at all. She would be a great jogging hiking or walking partner.
Xena would benefit and make great progress in a household with a dog that is social, confident, stable and resilient, who can be her role model. She is quite a sweet dog that needs alot of positive attention.
update 11/12.. Xena has gone to jail at Camp Hill PA. Not because she a bad girl , but just the opposite. She has been sent to HOPE. Hounds of Prison Education, while there she will learn all kinds of things. She is doing very well with her training so far. Her progress can be traced at http://www.hopedogs.org/xena.html She will be a great dog for some lucky person.
