Miles traveled miles and miles, but now it's time for him to settle down in a new home! He was a stray roaming the streets for several months until he was lured to a safe spot by his current foster home in Montana.
Miles is estimated to be about 3 years old—as a typical teenager, he likes his alone time and play time and isn't fond of being told what to do or where to go. That is, he's not used to being on a leash ("like a fish on a rope" is how his foster home describes him) and needs work on his recall. He was independent for a few months, so he warms up slowly to people. His foster home can tell that Miles is super-smart and will pick things up quickly once he's in a safe environment. A family who would devote time to training via positive reinforcement is a must, as is a fenced yard.
