Hello amigas my name is Maria! I came into rescue with my male friend Paco after being abadoned at a shelter in Alabama. We were originally called Ma and Pa but were really way to young for such names!

I am the shy and reserved one of the pair. Paco has been adopted and is in his furever home. I am still looking for mine.

I would do best in a home without small children. They make me nervous and I shy away from them.

I would benefit greatly with a human or human couple who want to take time to earn my trust and teach me a few things. My present foster has taught me sit, off and I come when called.

I play well with their male Eskie but would benefit from more one on one human attention. I am loving and very affectionate. I did ok at the groomers mostly because I am so shy. No aggression here at all just shyness.

I am crate trained, housetrained and up to date on my shots and HW negative.

If you would like to have the satisfaction of winning over my heart and have patience to earn my trust I will show you the Eskie devotion we are so known for.

Do you have a spot in your home and life to give me my furever home?

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
