Hi everyone!

I’m baby Sassy and I am just about old enough to find my forever home!  My mom, Summit, was dropped off at a shelter with me and my siblings.  We were just born so we were really scared!  But some wonderful people stepped up to foster us and get us healthy and ready to be adopted.  Since we were dropped at a shelter, no one knows exactly what we are mixed with besides American Eskimo.  A couple of my siblings are brown and the rest of us are white, so who knows!?!??

My name describes me perfectly…I’m a sassy little girl!  I am the bossy and vocal one of my litter, but hey, someone has to be in charge, right?  My foster mom thinks that I’m the most eskie-like so I need to be well socialized while I am young so I don’t get to snippy or growly with strangers.  I want to make sure to be a good companion for you forever so I really need my training and socialization!  But I am super sweet…I will love you with all my heart!  I am also very curious and always into things so you can expect me to be a typical mischievous puppy!

Obviously my siblings and I are still babies so we are not housetrained yet.  We also don’t know any commands either.  We will need lots of training once we get a little older!  But we are all very smart so we will learn quickly!   Our foster mom is trying to crate train us and that’s coming along well, but you know, we are just babies so we really don’t know anything yet!

The adoption fee for me and my siblings is $300.  There will also be a spay/neuter deposit of $200 since we are too young to have that done now.  The rescue people say you will have that returned once the surgery has been done.  The rescue people also say that training will be a requirement of the families that adopt us.  We want to be wonderful family dogs so we need to lead off on the right foot!

Well, I hope I hear from my new family soon.  If you are interested in adopting me, you will need to fill out the adoption application first.  You can find it at www.eskierescuers.org on the left hand side of the page.  Be sure to fill it out quick…we hope to find our new homes really soon!  The rescue people say that we cannot be held for anyone until the application is filled out so don’t delay!

Love, Sassy

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
