Pair of beautiful toy eskimo dogs-very affectionate (just a little cautious w/humans until they warm up to you), fun & friendly, always want to be with you or cuddling close by; they love to roll around, play and romp together - foster mom feels they must be adopted together, because they compliment each other well and Tiffany would be lost without Teddy Bear (they are a bonded pair). Housebroken, walk well on a leash, and learning manners in general - they are both coming along well. Friendly with kids, but wouldn't recommend to families with high energy children or a lot of chaos in the house.

**UPDATE 5/4/08*** Foster mom highly recommends a home with at least a small fenced yard - these two furbabies love to play together and have high energy - they are experiencing the puppyhood they could not have living in a barn - life is all fun and games to them stalking each other, running circles around each other, playing tug of war together, or chomping on ice cubes together - they especially like to play with mini tennis balls, tossing them up in the air to themselves and each other. They are an action packed duo, but settle down quickly when pooped out from playtime. They are housebroken, are getting acclimated to being in a large crate during the day and half the night, know the words 'out' and 'walk' and know their names - we're working on basic commands. Leash walking is great fun and neighbors love these two little cuties. Both always have a smile on their faces, very happy-go-lucky pups will make you smile everyday, very entertaining! Tiffany is getting closer to me; after 3 weeks, she is not so afraid of me; I rely on Teddy Bear to lead her inside and outside.

Foster mom does not recommend a lengthy transport so a local adoption would be better for the dogs. If a transport of more than 3 or 4 hours will occur, I recommend adopter paying for a crate to keep them in through entire transport.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
