Update (12/7): Little Pattie had her dental work yesterday - she had 13 teeth removed and the vet tech said it was the worst case of peridontal disease he has seen. We are so glad she can finally start again with a relatively healthy mouth. She is on another round of antibiotics and pain meds and will be going to her forever home in about 10 days.
Update (11/27): Our sweet girl has high liver and kidney values so we won't be able to do dental work just yet. She'll go on another 10 days of clavamox and we'll see whether her values get better. Pattie is a gem - all you have to do is look at her and smile and she will wag her tail. She has so much love to give. This little girl just came into rescue. She was found in a parking lot in Martinsburg, WV. She was not wearing a collar/tag and she was not microchipped so we don't know whether she got away from her owner or was dumped. Regardless, she is safe now. We're calling her Peppermint Pattie. Her teeth are rotten and will be cleaned/removed once she is finished with the round of antibiotics. She is a sweet girl and it is obvious she is happy to be in a safe warm home.
