Hello World, my name is Leo, and I am an adorable little American Eskimo puppy looking for a loving furever home. I was found lost, wondering around Southern California where I was lucky enough to have been picked up by a nice person and handed over to Eskie Rescuers United. ERU had me transported to a wonderful foster home in Aurora, Colorado.
I am an adorable long haired American Eskimo dog standing just about a foot tall at the shoulder and weighing in at about 15 lbs. I think I am about 10 months - 1-year old with bright brown eyes, forward swept whiskers, a silky soft coat and the distinctive American Eskimo mane on my chest. I love to be held and will snuggle in your arms as long as you will let me. As much as I love my humans, I also love to be around other animals. There are two other American Eskimo dogs in my foster home, which have become my best friends.
I love to be outside to sniff the air, run around and explore for things to play with. I can run like the wind and am so happy to be outside. I am just as satisfied with a stick as a ball or a Frisbee, and if there is nothing else around, my tail will help to pass the time for a quick chase. I would prefer a home with a fenced in back yard and room to romp around.

Good with Dogs
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
