Hi, my name is Bailey. I spent a few days in an SPCA shelter in Elizabeth City, NC before Eskie Rescuers saved me from an early fate. A bunch of nice volunteers transported me all the way to my new foster home in central NC where my foster family loves me! I'm a little skittish around people I don't know, but once I get to know you I'm your best friend! I love to play with my foster parents. Their home has a tiny boy puppy and we play together ALL THE TIME! I also like playing with my fellow foster dog, my male Eskie friend Marco. We get along GREAT!! My foster parents have a 12-year-old boy, and I'm not quite used to him yet. If you have young kids, I might not be a good match, sorry! I have a lot of room to run at my foster parents' home. I really, really like taking walks and I'm pretty well behaved on the leash. (I also love being brushed!!) I love the outdoors, but I like to be inside the house a lot, too. I'm housetrained, and I know how to sit, shake and stay (sometimes), but you have to keep me on a leash or I'll run off! My foster parents are trying to teach me some more commands, too. I had a real adventure on my trip meeting many new people and seeing new places. I love to ride in the car and my foster 'dad' takes me with him everywhere he goes! Car rides are FUN!!! No car-sickness! I will be spayed soon, and I'll get my rabies shot (I'm late on that). As soon as I get that done, I'll be ready for that 'furever' home that is ready for an energetic Eskie! I love attention, so adopt me only if you're willing to spend time and affection with me! I CRAVE it!!! Sure hope you'll adopt me soon so my foster parents can have more room to rescue another Eskie in need! I'll be your best friend and give you many years of love and companionship! --Bailey Thank you and WOOF! Bailey Special Needs: I will need to be spayed before I can be adopted!! I am also due for my rabies shot! My foster parents will get this done asap. I will not be adopted out before I am spayed and have my rabies shot!!!! Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
