UPDATE: July 24: Caleb is to go to his forever home on July 25th thank you for all of those that were interested in adopting caleb he sure was one lucky pup;
UPDATE: Caleb left the clinic yesterday (May 22nd) and went to his foster home. The video (see below) was taken when I went to pick him up. Caleb went to work with his foster-mommy today (see pictures). He is doing great and he is a very happy healthy little guy. He can discern light/dark and he gets along just fine. My name is Caleb and I am a very special eskie boy. You see I was tied up in a garbage bag and put out with the garbage! But someone was watching out for me and animal control was able to rescue me. I was transfered to a veterinary clinic immediately because it looked like I was going to die. Thanks to animal control and all the special people at BARCS and at Everhart Veterinary Hospital in Baltimore, MD I am not only alive but I am thriving. I have a great appetite and I am a very happy go-lucky little boy. I have been transfered to the Community Animal Hospital in Randallstown, MD where I am being observed to make sure that I keep getting better and stronger everyday. Everyone that meets me falls in love with me. If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact eskiefoster@verizon.net You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. I'm staying in Maryland until my forever family comes along. Note: Because Caleb cannot be neutered for several more weeks we will require a $250 refundable deposit in addition to the $250 adoption fee. Once the adopter provides us with a copy of the neuter certificate we will refund the $250. More about CalebGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Special Needs: Caleb is blind and he has ataxia (wobbliness) of the hind legs. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Videos of Caleb:
