Disco is a gentle boy, who will steal your heart. Everything seems new to him. He seems like he had a sad, neglected life, doesn't know what toys are for. Whom ever gave him up didn't know what a gem they had. With just a little love and patience he is the most loyal boy who wants desperately to have a best friend. He needs a special woman who loves to be snuggled with. He is so sweet, but very shy. He loves other dogs, and would be better with another friendly eskie [or small dog] as he is people shy, especially with men. It's been 4 months and he will take treats off my husband now, and sometimes follow him if our dog does. He definitely needs a women for his main caregiver. Since I've never had a dog so wary of men, I don't know if that will ever change. Because of this a fenced in yard would be nice, 4' would be fine, or in the country where other constant noise won't scare him. After he knows you, he is your best friend. And he will stick by you outside. He just wants to play and run. A fairly local adopter [Delmarva and some Pa] would be important, as he has earned a break on long travel. He plays gently, and has the cutest deep bark. An over active people house could stress him, so a nice quiet couple or single woman with lots of extra love would be perfect for him! Although he is a laid back eskie, he is very much a puppy yet and loves to play. He has no agressive issues, actually very submissive. You also can't leave food out to feed as he will overeat, making himself sick.
He avoids children, so he would just be stressed around them if they were there often. When company comes he runs and watches them from afar, making sure they don't get to close. He loves to sleep on his bed in bedroom. And loves to climb on furniture. He may have a little mountain goat in him. He so wants to please you and now knows sit, shake, down and roll over. He's now pretty good on the leash. He is happiest wrestling with Jack in the yard or playing chase. He is heartworm positive and on the gentle kill. ERU will pay for his meds, and retesting until he is clear. Check out the gentle heartworm treatment on sidebar for more info. Please don't count him out because of this, he's not contagious, and he doesn't know he has it! He's not a destructive boy when left unsupervised, if you pick up all small things, especially shoes, I leave him free when we are gone. And don't worry, the noisy one on the video with the halter on is mine! You can email me at katana653@aol.com.
