Hi everyone! I am Pixie and I am adorable and sweet and very smart. I just arrived in Maryland; I was rescued from a shelter in SC several weeks ago and several wonderful people took care of me until I could make the trip north. My shelter paperwork states that I was seized from custody but I don't remember any of the bad stuff that happened before. I am a very happy and content little eskie girl. I am fine with other dogs, cats, and children but all of the above need to be kind and gentle with me since I am at a disadvantage (blind). I am already house trained. My foster mommy will be taking me to an ophthalmologist soon to see whether anything can be done for my sight. My left eye is deformed and my right eye is pretty cloudy but we'll see :) If you are interetsed in meeting me please contact my foster mommy Heidi at hortmeye@gmail.com
Update 8/2: Pixie spent the day at the ophthalmologist's clinic yesterday. The diagnosis is congenital blindness. Per the doc's notes "She is not in any discomfort and is unlikely to have problems in the future but the right eye should be monitored since it could develop glaucoma."
