Hi, I’m a toy sized American Eskimo and weigh just 12 lbs.  I just turned a year old on Dec 2013.  I can use a doggie door, and crate trained.  I would do best with another dog in the home.

I ended up in a shelter, I don't know why because I LOVE humans and other dogs.  I am very high energy and I need an active family who can keep up with me and give me lots of bones to chew on since I am still a puppy. 

Feb 2014 update:  Hi again, I've been in my new foster home for a few weeks and my foster mom says that I am an energetic puppy who is full of fun, adventure and kisses. I love walks, car rides and the dog park. I love to run with the big boys. I may be a little girl but I have a big personality. I love my human foster sisters and my 2 eskie foster brothers and to bark at the cat. My 2 favorite times of day are the morning when everyone wakes up and the evening when I get to cuddle and squish. I even get to sleep in the bed with my 12 year of foster sister. I'm always being told how cute I am. I love attention and would make a great addition to your family.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
