Hello, I am Mickey, a young male standard eskimo. I was surrendered to a rural animal control by my owner. (no known reason) I got sent up the river, until ERU came and got me sprung! I may be  better off in  a quiet home without too many younger ones. I love my foster mommy and little brother a lot, and I am have learned to be housetrained, and crate trained.  It has been an adjustment, because I was an outside dog. I am a little skittish, due to not knowing the human touch. I love Cathy very much and love to be  patted, now, but take time to know strangers. My foster mom thinks I am one of the most handsome and sweetest eskies that she has met. Would you like to give me a chance to be your loving companion?

I am heartworm positive and am being treated by the gentle (slow kill) method, and require only monthly preventative until my next checkup.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
