*****LOCATED IN PHOENIX, AZ**** Alex and Claire were owner surrendered to the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) because the owner had “too many pets”. They were saved by an eskie club and adopted out to a home that already had 2 eskies. The 4 eskies did not get along that well and now, Alex and Claire are again looking for a new home.
Vets estimate Claire to be 6 years old and Alex to be 8 to 10 years old. Both act younger, even for Eskies. No signs of stiffness, eye cloudiness or anything else related to old age. Claire weighed 15 lbs and Alex 16 lbs at AHS. They may have gained a bit since then because they were very, very thin. Typical miniature size. Coats are fairly thin with some biscuit coloring. Both have been spayed/neutered and full dentals done (with a few teeth extractions). Both are house trained and walk well on a leash. They are needing a bit of attention but this can be explained by their situation. Claire has a very cute trick - see video attached. Alex loves to cuddle. With their recent transition failures, we need a family who can be understanding of them in their first few weeks in their new home. They would probably like to stay together, but we know how hard it is to get one dog adopted to a home, let alone 2 of them to the same home! Applicants willing to adopt both will get priority consideration over applicants only wanting one. But we will only adopt either/both to the very best home(s) who can provide them the love and compasion that they deserve. If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Cindy Goetz at altaeskies@gmail.com.
