Hi, my name is Nathan. As you can see, I have a gorgeous full coat of fur. I also like to sit in your lap, or lay next to you, or even on top of you if you will let me. I get very attached to the people in my household. I get along with other dogs and cats.

I really love to cuddle. If you let me sleep in bed with you, I will lay in one spot and stay there for the entire night. I will sit in your lap while you watch TV, or whatever you are doing. I'll stay there until you push me away from you.

I love to go on car rides. I don't get sick and I sit my own place (the front passenger seat) and let you drive.

At home I am crate trained and sometimes like to go into a crate to rest. I am also housetrained. I'm a higher energy young dog and like to go outdoors to run and play.

I do take some time to warm up to new people. I don't like people to get into my face and pet my head too closely until I get to know them. I also don't like small children. They make me nervous. So it's best that I be kept on leash in public.

So if you're willing to take time to get to know me gradually, I'll become attached to you for life. My foster dad will tell you about the procedure that you need to follow to get me trained to accept your family. It only takes a few days, but it does require you to be firm with me at first.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
