WHERE I'M BEING FOSTERED: Jacksonville, FL

Hello, my name is Jenni! My foster mommy calls me Lady Jenni because I am a very prim and proper little Miss. The vet says I am about 10 years old and I am in good health. My foster mommy is taking me to have my teeth cleaned to get rid of the tartar build-up, so I'll be sporting a beautiful smile to match my beautiful coat soon!

I'm spayed and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I tested negative for heartworm and I'm on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. I've also been micro-chipped.

I am housebroken and I will let you walk me on a leash. I'm very sweet and I'm not aggressive in any way. I have a very cute personality and I will put on a show for treats -- I can even sit on my hind legs, cross my front legs over my chest, and wait for you to give me a treat. I love to be brushed, and love lots and lots of attention.

I like sitting in your lap, and enjoy sleeping at the foot of the bed. I like taking a bath, and I really like my foster brother Sonni and my foster sister Savannah. One of my favorite places is sitting outside with my foster mommy and enjoying the day. When I am inside, I love looking out the window and watch the world go by. I love going for car rides, and I do well with children and senior citizens. My foster mommy took me to a retirement community where i got a lot of hugs, pets, and scratches.

Wouldn't you love to give a special little lady like me a chance at a forever home?

I would make a great companion for an older person and am eligible to be adopted for a lower fee through Eskie Rescuers United's "New Leash on Life" Senior program. (To learn more about this program, please go to: Senior Eskies and Senior Humans.)

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Kim and Jeff at: kim@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Lots of Eskie hugs and kisses!
