About Miller

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-159
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Miller! I'm a standard-sized American Eskimo male who weighs about 25 pounds. My age is between 3 and 5 years old, and I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention.

I have a very sweet disposition and am the quiet couch potato type-not hyper at all! I'm friendly with people, even to strangers who want to pet me. (I think that's the best way to find my new family, don't you agree?). I'm good with children who are 8 or older, but we don't know about younger kids. And I just LOVE to give hugs and kisses!

I'm good with cats and with other dogs. When I first came to my foster home I was a bit fearful of the other dogs, especially the big noisy ones, but I'm sure I'd get along fine with a new brother or sister who would be nice to me and be willing to share his or her home with me.

Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? You can see how handsome I am!!!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Deborah at: deborah@eskierescuersunited.org. Better yet, you can go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Bradley, IL with my foster mommy, Mary.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!
