Timber was an 11 yr old male who was kept outside because he "marked" when inside.
His owners had him since he was a puppy but gave him up because they were moving to a house without a fenced yard. Timber was rescued by foster, Deborah, the WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS! Being that Timber was kept outside, this poor little guy's hair was extremely matted. The owners had him shaved in the middle of winter! When Deborah, the ERU foster mom in Illinois, picked him up he was scared and "naked". Deborah knew that Timber needed was a home without any doggy smells (that's why he marked)... he had the urge to cover other dog's smells. Timber was adopted by a family who had just moved into a new construction home which solved the problem. Timber is the cutest little Eskie as he looks and acts like a puppy and his new family is very thankful to have him. He lives in the house, sleeps in the bed with the kids, and goes on walks where he even met a fellow Eskie. Timber finally has the loving home he rightfully deserves. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
