****Fostered in Sacramento, CA*****

Hi, my name is "Duke." I'm told that I'm a very handsome, 1 year old Eskie. I was living in a backyard, lonely and sad until my person decided to turn me into the shelter. I was really scared and shy but a nice guy, who works at the shelter, took me home and taught me about the good life. Now I'm a well behaved, people loving, inside guy, who is housebroken, walks on a leash, knows my name, and how to sit and come. He couldn't keep me, so today I was officially placed into foster care. Wow, so far so good. I go inside and outside, play with my 2 Eskie foster brothers and 2 human foster sisters, 11 and 13. I also have a foster mom and dad.  There are 2 cats too...umm, not really sure about them. Everyone thought I would be nervous but I'm fitting in just fine. I love being loved and giving kisses. I can't wait to find my forever home.

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact ANGEL MERRITT: Angel@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Thank you and WOOF!

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
