Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Nonami! I'm a 1-year old standard-sized American Eskimo boy who weighs about 23 pounds. (My foster mommy is trying to fatten me up some, as I came to her rather skinny.) I'm neutered, microchipped, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I still have "accidents" sometimes, but my foster mommy is working on getting me fully housebroken. I'm as sweet and loving as I am handsome. (You DO think I'm handsome, don't you?!) I'm not too hyper and I get along great with kids, other dogs and even cats-my foster mommy says I think I'm part cat because I love sitting perched in the window! I'm leash trained and just love to go for walks, as well as play fetch. I'm your typical year old puppy-still a bit clumsy and wanting to chew on things. But with a little patience from my new family and some training and guidance, I'll get through that phase and be the perfect little boy for you! I'm REALLY sweet and I just love EVERYONE!!! Wouldn't you love to have such a handsome guy in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Belle Chasse, LA with my foster mommy, Liz. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuers.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Nonami!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
