Hi, my name is Sakari, which means "sweet," and I am exactly that! Just wait until you meet me so you can see for yourself how sweet I am! I'm a 1-year old miniature American Eskimo girl who weighs 18 pounds. I bark surprisingly little for an Eskie, more at strange men than at anything else. It took me a day or two to warm up to my foster daddy, but after that I was just fine with him-not mean or aggressive, just shy. (I was just acting coy, so he would like me better! HeHe!) I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm housebroken, but if you ignore me too long and don't let me outside soon enough I might have an accident. After all, I am still pretty young, and my "plumbing" isn't fully developed! I'm also leash-trained and ride very well in the car. I'm also crate-trained. I don't mind baths and I will sit patiently while you wash and brush me I'm an active little girl who really enjoys playing with other dogs. I also get along very well with cats, and I am not aggressive at all-just VERY playful! :o) I adore children and am very good around them. I am quite well-behaved for still being in the puppy stage. I will sit on command for the most part, and I listen fairly well to "stay" and "come." I will also stand tall and pretty on my back legs when you offer me a treat! Yum Yum! (I'm very food motivated-anyone with a treat in hand is my new best friend!) I love my toys, because they're so much fun to chase after, chew on and make squeak! When I'm outside I like to dig little holes in the ground in my quest to find those strange little moles. I'm a sweet and affectionate little girl who loves all people, and I just adore being petted and snuggling with you. I'm waiting as patiently as I can for my new forever family-will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Summerville, SC with my foster mommy, Amy. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! For more information on me, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: amy@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Sakari!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
