Hi, my name is Waylon. I'm a 3+ year old miniature American Eskimo boy who weighs a whopping 15 pounds! I think I'm quite a handsome guy, and a real catch! Take a look at my pictures and see if you don't agree! I'm neutered, up-to-date on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm housebroken so I won't make any messes in your home, and I'm crate-trained as well. I was rescued from a kill shelter in Ohio and I'm very happy to be with my foster mom, who is a very nice lady. I am always talking to her and I think she understands me! Maybe she's related to Dr. Dolittle! :o) I do fine with older children, but not young ones. I get along great with other dogs, but we don't know about cats, because my foster mommy doesn't have any. (But she thinks I would just ignore cats like I do younger dogs.) I'm not as rambunctious as a lot of other Eskies. I'm a very good boy and like being with my humans! I'll sit on your lap, or in the chair, or on the floor next to you, and will even sleep with you if you let me. I have never tried to run away-why would I want to? I have it too good here! If you're looking for a good boy who doesn't need a whole lot of activity-just a nice walk once or twice a day-then I'm your guy! Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I am waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Burkesville, KY with my foster mommy, Tanya. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuers.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Waylon!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
