About Minuk!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-160
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Minuk! I'm a 13-month old miniature-sized American Eskimo female who stands 15 inches tall and weighs 19 pounds. I have a beautiful fox-like white coat which is soft and silky.

I'm recently spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm paper-trained so I don't make messes in the house, and my foster mommy is working with me to get me fully housebroken. I'm leash-trained and I ride well in the car, but I'm not crate- or kennel-trained. In fact, I really prefer not to be enclosed in small spaces.

I get along well with other dogs, and with cats also. I also do very well with adults and children, though I may act timid when I first meet you, until I've had a chance to get to know you. I came from an abusive home, so it takes me a few days to acclimate to my new surroundings. I sometimes get startled by loud noises, but I DO love squeaky toys! (They're lots of fun to play with, and not scary at all!) I'm very affectionate and love to snuggle with you. I will also lie on my back waiting for a tummy rub or an ear scratch from you. Ooooh, those always feel SO good! :o) Once I have established a bond with you, I can even be trusted out in the yard without a leash, because I'm such a good little girl!

I'm very energetic and playful and I love to go outside. There are always so many things to explore--and to smell! I'm a very sweet and pleasant puppy who will do anything to please you. I'm hoping SO MUCH for my very own forever family. Won't you adopt me into your family so I can show you just how loving and affectionate I am? I promise you you'll never regret it!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Wanda at: wanda@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: pegbenoit@yahoo.com. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me.

There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I?m being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Chambersburg, PA with my foster mommy, Peggy.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I?m not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!
