I'm a sweet and mellow girl who's in search of my forever home. My previous owner died, so my friend Meeka and I found ourselves in foster care. We were both kept as outside dogs and only came inside at night. We had never worn collars and didn't know what leashes were, but we've both conquered those mountains. I am proud to announce that I am now housetrained, current on all my shots, spayed, heartworm negative and on flea, tick and heartworm prevention meds. Like most of the ladies here in rescue, I have to reveal my deepest, darkest secret - my weight. I'm a pleasantly plump girl, but because I'm a miniature Eskie, I need to lose quite a bit of weight. So I need to join Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers. Hey, you think Kirstie Allie needs a sidekick? I'm a quiet and mellow rolly-polly Poppy who's waiting for my forever home. If Meeka and I can be adopted together that would be nice, but not necessary. If you're interested in finding out more information, please contact Gina at: Justus4250@aol.com. You can also go to our web site by clicking here to fill out an adoption application for her. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where she's being fostered in Carlisle, PA). There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and Woof! and#9829;Poppyand#9829;

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
